Slinkachu began his art in 2006, British born in 1979. His work is in Amsterdam, Barcelona and Manchester. He is a London-based artist who creates small-scale Street Art installations and photographs them.
I think, firstly, that his work is interesting because it makes you think about different situations. Secondly, his photos exaggerate real life situations.
Some examples of Slinkachus work
A man skiing down a snow mountain, it looks like a yogurt pot was used as snow. This miniature man is skiing. a large depth of field has been used, it is in focus and natural light was used, I know this because it is taken outside. I like it because it makes me feel like I want to go skiing .
He has tried to capture someone throwing a Lego block onto a passing car. The cars are out of focus, just a Lego block and figures are in focus with a shallow depth of field
David Gilliver
Another photographer that does similar work to Slinkachu is David Gilliver. His work is very colourful and he uses a lot of food in his photos.
Figures are making a pumpkin for Halloween. Everybody is helping and getting involved. This shows how people come together at Halloween. Medium depth of field has been used with low lighting, just highlighting the pumpkin and people. I like the way he has captured the reflection on the shiny surface.
2 people on a pedalo, looks like fun. I think this shows the fun of holidays. Medium depth of field has been used and artificial lighting, I like the bright green background.
Cordal
Isaac Cordal is a Spanish Galician artist whose work involves sculpture and photography in the urban environment. He lives in Brussels and Galicia. Born in 1974.
This photo shows a little person stuck on a tall pole in the middle of the ocean. The message I get from this photo is that sometimes we all feel stuck with no escape. This shows a large depth of field with natural lighting.
This photo shows a hole in the road with a little man sat on the edge. The message I get from this photo is that roadwork's are a nightmare. This shows a large depth of field with natural lighting.
Pierre Javelle was a bit of a dunce at school. He spent his childhood reading comic books which instilled in him a knack for telling stories in few images. He found his place in art and finished school at the Decorative Arts School of Paris, where he also met Akiko. Working some years as a technician in a photo lab in Paris, he was inspired and learned from the professional photographers he met. He uses the Minimiam concept to illustrate articles in the press.
This photo shows a family on top of an ice cream! Everybody loves ice cream. This is a medium depth of field with some lighting.
This photo shows an alien meeting a human, the food is the UFO. This is a large depth of field, it has been made to look like night time by using a dark background and lighting one area.
First Plan
First shoot.
I think this is my worst photo. It is large depth of field. It is a bit bland and needs more colour in the scenery.
My best photo is formed as shallow depth of field and capturing the light into the photo. People are tied up and there is a bad guy in the story.
Second plan
Second shoot.
My worst photo is formed as medium depth of field and is not in focus. I think this is because the settings on the camera are not right. The background image is also too dark.
My best photo is formed as shallow depth of field, is in focus and it tells a good story, the bad guy has captured the people and tied them up in a cave. I think the focus is right with the setting on the camera. The background is a picture of a cave that I printed off and is not too dark.
Third plan
Test shoot of car crash.
This is my worst photograph because it is too bright, due to this the figure under the car is not clear. The fast shutter speed makes the image not blurred, the image is clear and sharpened.
This is my best photo because the focus point is where I wanted it to be and it is not too bright.
Third shoot
My worst test shoot, because is formed as large depth of field and it is out of focus.
My best photo, Because is formed as medium depth of field it is in focus.
forth shoot
My worst image because the focus point isn't where I wanted it to be.
My best image is in focus and the light is captured in the photo because it is in focus, the car is getting fixed by the stapler, which I think is quite funny.
Fifth shoot
This is my worst photograph because the background is in focus but my figure and car are both out of focus. A medium depth of field has been used.
This is my best photograph because I have managed to get the figure and the car in focus with the background out of focus this is a shallow depth of field. In this photograph the car has been driven on to a log which has caused the car to be on a tilt, the man in the photograph is trying to push the car in order to correct it. Aperture and focus point, white balance it can balance the Slinkachu work can make it like exposure and focus point in the point of the centre of image

Evaluation
From my test shoot to fifth shoot there is a big difference for my Slinkachu project and all of my shoots have got a story to tell. It was a challenge using miniature figures and getting the photos in focus.
Out of my plans the best one is my car crash scene, the photo turned out really well and I was really pleased with the outcome. I had the man as the focus point and the background out of focus.
If I was to do this again I would go to a pond to try and get some shots with reflection in it.
The Second and fifth shoot were the most fun to do but I think this one is my best photo out of all of them.
